Lord, how great is our dilemma!: prayer poem of A.W.Tozer and,,,a hymn of praise to our beautiful Creator

Lord, how great is our dilemma!
In Thy Presence
silence best becomes us but love inflames our hearts and
constrains us to speak.

Were we to hold our peace
the stone would cry out;

yet if we speak, what shall we say?

Teach us to know that we cannot know,
for the things of God knoweth no man,
but the Spirit of God.

Let faith supports us where reason fails,

and we shall think because we believe,
not in order that we may believe.

In Jesus' name. Amen.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Romans 11:33

,,even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1 Cor 2:11

  1. Wow! I really love that Tozer poem. That is perhaps one of my most favorite passages, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. BUT GOD HATH REVEALED THEM UNTO US BY HIS SPIRIT" Oh the depth both of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD!
    May you have a wonderful day, Kinuko.

  2. Dear Maribeth, hello! You know what, I have been thinking of you since morning and wondered how you are. So I was doubly glad to receive your message. I love to hear that you also love this Tozer poem.

    By the way, the name Maribeth is one of the most beautiful and charming names which I have ever heard. I read that;

    "The word Beth in Latin refer to "Bounty of God", in Hebrew the word Beth means a house; Maribeth refer to a Lady, Bountiful of God's Glory."

    Bountiful of God's Glory! Wow! So beautiful.And this name reflects you and who you are.Thank you so much for your thoughtul comment. God bless you. Kinuko

  3. Kinuko- I did not know that, about the meaning. That is really humbling. Wow! Thank you for sharing and your kind comments. That's where I want to live, His glory IS bountiful. I forget so often how immense are all the characteristics of God. Which is another thought, maybe stewardship in Christ's kingdom less about hoarding or saving, and more about sharing liberally- we will never run out, HE is full of truth and grace!
